1. Paint The Tiniest Baby Hairs

Grab even the tiniest of hairs at the hairline after either a balayage or foil highlight with this trick! Daniel says he likes to mix L’Oréal Professionnel Blond Studio Multi-Techniques Powder with 30-volume developer and L’Oréal Professionnel Smartbond Step 1 and use a mascara brush to grab every last hair.

2. Avoid Bleed

Ensure a bleed-free application by swapping cotton with Velcro rollers. “They keep the hair off the scalp and stay exactly where you place them,” Daniel says on Instagram.

3. Brighten Her In 3 Minutes

This guest came in for gray coverage and decided halfway through she actually wanted some blonde highlights. Daniel gently cleansed the color off and gave her this 3-minute “balayage” at the bowl with Blond Studio Multi-Techniques Powder + 40-volume developer + Smartbond Step 1. Because the hair is damp and a bit swollen, the lightener formula will work quickly.
