Clarify and cleanse hair, then divide into four quadrants.

Beginning in the nape, take a ¼ to ½ inch horizontal slice and apply the Reducer with a brush, starting ¼ inch from the scalp and extending through to the ends. Complete both back quadrants. In the front quadrant, switch to vertical sections and complete the entire head.

Process according to the instructions for the formula that you’ve selected—Normal, Resistant or Sensitized. Do not exceed maximum development time of 30 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly, 5 to 10 minutes.

Working one quadrant at a time, dry hair with hands until it is 80% dry. Hair should not be completely dry before smoothing. Beginning in the nape, take 1/8 to ¼ inch horizontal slices. Place a ceramic flat iron approximately 1/8 inch from the scalp and iron each parting 2-3 times. Complete the quadrant. Dry the next quadrant to 80% and iron in the same manner. Work through all quadrants until the entire head is complete.

Begin in the nape and take a ¼”–½” horizontal slice. Apply the cream neutralizer ¼”–½” from scalp through the ends. Smooth hair with gloved fingers. Process 10 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly for 5 to 10 minutes with warm water, ensuring that the product is completely eliminated. Towel and style the hair.

Next apply on damp hair, begin in the nape and take a ¼”–½” horizontal slice. Apply the cream Shape Control Smoothing Neutralizer ¼” from scalp through ends of hair. Smooth hair with gloved fingers to keep in a straightened state. Leave on for 10 minutes.

Then rinse hair thoroughly for 5 to 10 minutes with warm water depending on the hair density. Ensure that product is completely eliminated. Towel blot hair and style.
