On The Set: Leighton Meester’s Gotham Cover How-To

Step 1:  Leighton came to set with dry mostly dry hair.  To prep her hair I used Oscar Blandi's Volumizing Spray and my trusty CHI Rocket Blow Dryer and medium round brushes to set her hair. I would use 2 or 3 at a time to section the hair and used them like rollers..

Step 2:  I used single-track, clip-in hair extensions and used two rows in u-shaped sections to fill in the added length and curled the ends with a one inch curling iron.

Step 3:  After each curl I would lightly pull at the hair to create a distressed curl making the look lived in and sexy.

Finish:  I used just a few drops of Oscar Blandi's Olio di Jasmine Hair Serum and vigorously rubbed my hands together to heat the product so it would be just a sheer coating for gloss purposes.  I finished the look by roughing up the hair by rubbing it between my hands.
