Lace Ponytail Wrap
Put a twist on an ordinary ponytail! During the
Fendi Fall/Winter Runway show, master hairstylist
Sam McKnight created a laced ponytail wrap that was both trendy and chic. BTC loved this creative pony so much that we wanted to see who would step up to the challenge of recreating it. And
BTC Member Lindsay Mikesell Wolf from
The Blowdry Cafe stepped up. Try this ponylicious creation when she’s looking for a little something different.

Prep the hair by cocktailing the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydrocream Whip and the Styling Treatment Oil. Apply generously throughout. Eliminate any frizz and flyaways using cool to medium heat with a blow-dryer and Mason Pearson brush.

3
Divide Mohawk section into 2 sections with a slight diagonal parting from front center to back-center-right.

Cross the front right section over the front left section, keeping each section of hair smooth and sleek. Secure hair on both sides by twisting and securing behind each ear with 1 to 2 bobby pins.

6
Take the right side section, keeping it smooth and sleek, back toward the ponytail base. Wrap the ends of section around the elastic and secure underneath with a bobby pin. Repeat with the left side section.
-
7
Secure remaining ends by tucking them underneath the ponytail, and securing them under the base with bobby pins.
-
8
Refine the hairstyle by applying Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Shine Spray to eliminate flyaways and enhance shine. Finish with Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Finishing Spray for a lasting hold.
