Jennifer Aniston’s Twisted Upbraid
Casual yet chic (just like Jen Aniston herself), this braided upstyles was the perfect accessory for an event with Living Proof that she recently attended. Created by her longtime stylist Chris McMillan, owner of The Chris McMillan Salon in Beverly Hills, it’s a neat “twist” on the classic chignon. Just for BTC, celebrity stylist, Dominick Serna, (also of The Chris McMillan Salon) recreated the look.

HOW-TO STEPS
-
1
Start with dry, day-two hair and backcomb the crown section to create volume.
-
2
Smooth the top layer with a brush or wide-tooth comb.
-
3
Divide the hair into three sections. Begin at the crown with a few French braid plaits.
-
4
Shift to a Dutch braid technique—crossing the outermost pieces of the hair under the center section in order to raise the braid. Work to the nape.
-
5
Continue braiding until running out of hair, then secure the braid with an elastic.
-
6
Loosen the braid by lightly tugging at the sides.
-
7
From the bottom, roll the end of the braid up to the nape.
-
8
Secure with bobby pins, then release a few thin strands to frame the face. Gently pull on the braid to loosen the shape.
-
9
Smooth the crown and mist with a finishing spray, such as Living Proof Control Hairspray.
