Show Steps
Start with clean, dry hair and create an off-center part. To prep the hair for styling, spray Aveda Pure Abundance Style-Prep throughout the hair from roots to ends. Then, brush it out to distribute the product evenly and add natural bulk to each strand.
Show Steps
Create a low braid and secure at the bottom with an elastic. Massage Aveda Control Paste into the braid to build texture, then loosen it with your fingertips. Apply just a hint of heat to the braid to lock in the pliable hold, then clip it up to cool it down.
Show Steps
Take the braid out and add an extra bend in the hair with a 1-inch flat iron. Spray the roots of the hair with Aveda Air Control Hair Spray for a flexible, lasting hold. Its dry delivery will add a matte appearance.
