Vintage Curl

Your client wants a vintage-inspired look but doesn’t want to look like she’s from a 1940s film noir. Your first move? Using a flat iron like the ghd Platinum Styler instead of a traditional curling iron! This how-to from Stephanie Brinkerhoff, aka @hairandmakeupbysteph to her 5 MILLION Pinterest followers (and BTC’s resident bridal expert!) gives the perfect vintage curl!

To begin the curl, hold the styler horizontally and place it in the hair at the roots.

Rotate the styler 360 degrees before you start sliding.

    3

Gently slide the styler down through the ends of the hair. You don’t need to keep rotating the styler.

When you get to the hair above chin level, instead of taking the styler all the way to the roots, only curl the hair below the chin.

Once all of the hair is curled, use the ghd Oval Dressing Brush to brush out the curls and form a wave.
