Sectioning.

• Use a wide-tooth comb to detangle hair, and section.
• Lightly spray iFixx™ over the entire head to even out porosity.
• Apply iProtect™ from roots to ends, using a bowl and BI applicator brush, or apply a small amount in the palms of your hands, emulsify and apply all over hair. Focus on the most porous areas.
• Note: Do not oversaturate the hair, otherwise KeraSmooth will under-process.

KeraSmooth™ Application:

• Shake KeraSmooth™ pouches well before use.
• While wearing gloves, squeeze KeraSmooth™ formula for chemically-treated hair into a bowl. The amount used varies on hair length and texture.
• To begin, go around the head and apply KeraSmooth™ in sections 1/2” away from the roots to mid shaft using a BI applicator brush. Do not apply directly do the scalp. Then go around the head and apply to the ends, combing through each section once.
• Perform a strand test immediately after you finish with your application. The processing time starts when you start your application. Try to keep the application time under 10 minutes.
• Leave KeraSmooth™ on the hair for 5 minutes to defrizz or 10 minutes maximum to straighten, depending on hair type and texture (leave it on longer for coarse hair and shorter time for fine hair). Do not process with heat.
• To check the desired level of straightening, do an elasticity test every 3 to 5 minutes at the place of initial application.
  g. Do not leave KeraSmooth on the hair longer than 10 minutes.

Shampoo and Condition:

• After you remove all KeraSmooth™ product from the hair, shampoo hair twice with BI S-H Intensive Moisturizing Shampoo and rinse.
• Condition hair with BI S-H Intensive Moisturizing Reconstructor. Apply evenly and leave on for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse until water runs clear.

Blow Dry:

• Lightly pat down the hair with a towel to get rid of excess moisture.
• Blow dry with a BI Pro-Dryer and fingers, until the hair is 50% dry, then use an Ionic Conditioning Brush.

Flat Iron & Finish:

• Make sure the hair is 100% dry before ironing. No neutralizer is needed.
• Seal the hair with the OnePass® Straightening Iron at 300°F to 350°F, depending on hair type and texture – only one pass is needed. We also recommend the use of BI RTX-450 Straightening Iron. Set temperature based on type of hair: 350°F for fine, 400°F for medium and 430 - 450°F for course hair. You might have to run the iron for more than one pass, but we recommend that you don’t run it over 3 times on the same section.
• Style and finish as desired, for a look that’s manageable, smooth, sleek and shiny.
• BI does not guarantee best results if another iron, other than a BI professional iron is used.
• Don’t get the hair wet for 72 hours.
  

Clarify Hair:

• Lightly Shampoo With BioIonic ionClarify Shampoo to remove any product build-up
• Do Not apply conditioner
• Rinse hair thoroughly until water runs crystal clear & towel dry.
