Separate the front hair from the back by taking a parting from the middle of the ear across the top of the head. Make a second parting from the middle of the ear across the back of the head, then clip that up and out of the way for better control of sectioning and color saturation.
-
3
Starting at the nape, take two 1-inch diagonal back sections in the corners, creating three triangles. Clip up the center triangle. Note: Your section size will depend on your client’s hair thickness.
-
4
Apply Formula B to the base, then Formula D to the ends.
-
5
Apply Formula C to the midshafts, then blend into Formula D. Then blend Formula B into Formula C.
-
6
In the center triangle, apply Formula B, then Formula C and blend. Repeat this pattern, alternating colors to the occipital bone.
-
7
From the occipital bone to the part line, continue with the same sectioning. Apply Formula B and Formula E to the ends, then apply Formula C to the midshafts and blend into Formula B and Formula E. Occasionally pull Formula C through to the ends.
-
8
Moving to the side, take a 1-inch diagonal back section starting above the ear. Apply Formula B to the base, then either Formula E or Formula F to the ends. Apply Formula C to the midshafts and blend. Continue working up the head, occasionally pulling Formula C through to the ends. Alternate colors and repeat on both sides.
-
9
Process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water until the water runs clear, then lightly shampoo and condition with your preferred Scruples products.
