  Apply Formula A through the cold shaft of the hair, avoiding the area about ¼ to ½ inch off the scalp and the porous ends. Process until she reaches a bright gold/yellow hue, then apply Formula A to the scalp.

  Next, apply Formula B through the remainder of the hair and process until she reaches a Level 9. Rinse throughly, shampoo and condition.

  • Natural/Starting Level:

    7 with 3 to 4 inches of regrowth and previous highlights on the midlengths and the ends.

    PRAVANA Pure Light Powder Lightener + Trionics Hair Care Lift Thru 50 Enzyme Color Developer + Olaplex No.1

  • Formula B:

    Pure Light Powder Lightener + Trionics Actuator 20 Enzyme Color Developer + Olaplex No.2 + Water

  • Formula C:

    1 part PRAVANA ChromaSilk Express Tones Violet + 1½ parts PRAVANA ChromaSilk Zero Lift Developer + equal parts Water + Olaplex No.2

  • Formula D:

    PRAVANA ChromaSilk PASTELS Blissful Blue

  • Formula E:

    ChromaSilk PASTELS Luscious Lavender

  • Formula F:

    ½ ChromaSilk PASTELS Clear + ¼ Blissful Blue + ¼ Lucious Lavender

  On wet hair, use a brush to apply Formula C to the root area. Then, pull Formula C all the way through to the ends until completely saturated. Process for 20 minutes, rinse thoroughly and condition only.

  Dry the hair completely. Then, starting from underneath the nape area, section randomly and alternate applying Formulas D, E and F. “We used Formulas D and E sparingly with the dominate color being Formula F,” shares Michael and Melody. “This technique leaves the required negative space in order for the finished result to acquire the metallic, holographic and opal qualities.”

  Continue until application is complete and process for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cool water until the water runs clear. Then, apply Olaplex No.2 and process for 20 minutes.
