How-To: Elegant Curled Updo
Start with a deep side part. Take a section from the part that’s about 1 inch wide and 3 inches long. Tease the section, curl it off-base with the FHI Heat Platform Tourmaline Ceramic Professional Curling Iron and clip the curl in place to set. Repeat until entire front hairline is teased, curled and set.
Pro Tip: The off-base set and over-direction of the curl will add major volume to the hair!
Continue to tease, curl and set the remainder of the hair at the crown.
While the top is cooling, continue curling the rest of the hair, working around the head in large sections.
Once all the hair is curled, part the hair from behind the ear up to the side part and begin to twist the hair, twisting along the back of the head and securing with pins as you work.

Continue placing and pinning the curls, working around to the right side. Be sure the curls are pinned in a soft, wind-swept manner and not tight to the head.
Release the pin curls from the top of the head. Gently place the curls and pin.
