Downtown Wave by Keratin Complex

Is your a client a city girl stuck in the concrete jungle miles away from the nearest beach? Keratin Complex has a wave specifically designed for you called the Downtown Wave! Created using Keratin Complex’s latest texture-making innovation, the Sweet Definition Texturizing Sugar Mist, assists in making these beautiful cascading waves. This unique salt-free spray is made with sugar extract instead of the salt you’d find in typical beach wave sprays. Thanks to its unique bi-phase technology, Sweet Definition creates tousled texture and makes hair softer and more hydrated than what you’d expect from standard salt sprays. This is the must-have look for your trendiest clients this summer!

Section the hair into three sections. Take 2-inch sub-section at the bottom of the section, beginning at the midlength, and place the barrel pointing downward, underneath the section of hair.

Wrap the hair around the barrel, rope style. Leave the last 1 to 2 inches of hair unwrapped. Hold the hair on the iron for 3 to 5 seconds. Gently slide the section of hair off the barrel and allow the hair to cool before releasing the section.

To create an undone style, alternate the wave pattern by starting the next sub-section with the barrel on top of the hair before wrapping. Continue this method throughout the entire head. For the sub-sections around the face, start with the barrel underneath the hair, at approximately eye-level, before wrapping.

Tip: Use smaller sub-sections to achieve more defined waves.
