Alterna’s Michael Shaun Corby’s Baby Phat Runway How-To

When you’re styling hair for a sizzling line like Baby Phat and the remaining four contestants of Germany’s Next Top Model, the idea is to create the sexiest strands in town. Alterna’s Michael Shaun Corby readily obliged recently, coming up with long, lush, sultry waves for the catwalk.  Here’s how he got the job done and make the models meow!

HOW-TO STEPS

    Viktoria when she arrived at the show.

    Section off the hair in line with the inner left brow to just behind the right ear.

    Create a tight French braid beginning at the top of that section (in line with the inner left brow).

    Continue braiding down the right side of the face and secure with a clear elastic band.

    Spray braid with Alterna Caviar Extra Hold Hair Spray for hold and to reduce frizz.

    Create small sections starting at the back of the head.

    Using a medium barrel curling iron, curl each section to achieve loose waves.

    After each section is curled, recreate the curl and pin it to the head.

    Spray each pinned curl with Alterna Caviar Extra Hold Hair Spray to keep the look clean and frizz-free.

    Curl and pin up the entire head.

    Spray the entire head of pinned curls with Alterna Caviar Extra Hold Hair Spray.

    Undo each curl carefully.

    Lightly brush out the waves to get a soft finish.
