’60s Inspired Chignon from Sebastian Professional

Christian Siriano’s Fall 2014 collection was inspired by late Swedish fashion model, Lisa Fonssagrives, who the designer sees as the muse of Parisian beauty and glamour. The collection is “lady-like, yet cool,” paying homage to the ’60s. So when it came to the hair Anthony Cole, Sebastian Professional International Artist created a low chignon and gave it a modern twist.

HOW-TO STEPS

    Start by spraying Sebastian Professional Dry Clean Only around hair line, eventually covering the head, then brush the hair.

    Work Sebastian Professional Mousse Forte from the roots to the ends of the hair, covering the entire head. Create a part directly down the center of the head and slick each side over the ear using Sebastian Professional Gel Forte.Gather all hair at the nape of the neck and secure in a low ponytail.

    Finger-tease the ponytail starting underneath the layer using Sebastian Professional Shaper Hairspray.

    Pin the ponytail underneath the hair elastic, creating an elegant, low bun.

    Synch and secure the bun to ensure it remains in-tact using bobby pins and Sebastian Professional Shaper Hairspray.
