NYFW Get the Look for WHIT

close formula
Asian influences permeated European decorative art and high fashion in the late 1800s and into the new century. WHIT’s collection imagined how working people would have integrated those traditional motifs into their daily uniforms, and Elie Camoro used this inspiration to create a structured, folded pony—a perfect complement to the bold designs.

HOW-TO STEPS

1

Start with a high-shine foundation by washing hair with Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner.

2

To prep hair, blow-dry straight, making sure the hairline is smooth and frizz-free. Section by section, flat iron the whole head.

3

Create a clean part on the left side with a rat tail comb lining up with the eye outside the iris. Spray Blowout Primer throughout to create a wet look.

4

Next, brush hair straight back into a ponytail in the middle of the head. Secure with a bungee that matches the haircolor.

5

Apply Brilliant Glossing Styling Crème generously throughout the ponytail to keep hair together.

6

One inch down from ponytail holder, wrap brown string around about 7 times, knot and cut off loose ends of string. 3 inches below that, repeat and tie.

7

Fold the ponytail up, matching up knotted portions and bend into a loop. Using a separate piece of string, connect and tie two sections together to fasten. Leave end of ponytail out.

8

Spray all over with Sheer Hold Hairspray to finish.
