KIM KARDASHIAN’S WISPY UPDO AT THE 2023 MET GALA

Kim Kardashian graced the 2023 Met Gala’s red, white and blue carpet with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton (@chrisappleton1)‘s take on a modern French twist using Color Wow and Dyson products.
The reality TV maven paired the updo with a Schiaparelli gown made of pearls and a bronzed makeup look. Read below for the full details and tips on how to recreate this wispy look on long hair.
HOW-TO STEPS

To create Kim K’s glamorous french twist, Chris started off by prepping her hair with Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray to create a smooth, glossy foundation.

To create volume, Chris then used the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer (with the Styling Concentrator attachment on the third setting of 176 for a controlled airflow), paired with Color Wow Raise the Root throughout the root area and blew dried the hair in the opposite direction.

Chris then curled all of Kim’s hair using the Dyson Corrale Hair Straightener. He sectioned off the hair then wrapped each section around the iron to curl it.

Once all the hair was curled, he sprayed a texturizing spray throughout for additional volume and memory.

Without brushing the curls out, Chris pulled the hair up into a French twist leaving out the front fringe pieces. He sprayed the entire look with hairspray for long-lasting hold.
