It’s official: Clean-girl minimalism is out and big, bold beauty trends are in. Don’t just take it from us—Kacey Musgraves is one of the many A-listers on board with the high-glamour aesthetic. The Grammy-winning artist was seen sitting front row at the Schiaparelli Spring 2024 runway show at Paris Couture Fashion Week wearing a glamorous bouffant hairdo and thick black headband for extra drama.

The retro bouffant was created by Giovanni Delgado (@giovannidelgado), who shared the following on their inspiration: “The ‘clean-girl aesthetic’ has its place and time, but I live for the drama,” shared Giovanni. “So for Kacey’s look for Schiaparelli, I opted to lean into the more-is-more energy. I believe that high glamour is always in. I expect and hope more people will lean into the more-is-more aesthetic this year. I think we all would benefit from a little fun and a little fantasy.”

 

“We wanted drama and glamour so I was inspired by old photos of Ursula Andress while keeping in mind Schiaparelli’s current collection,” added Giovanni.

HOW-TO STEPS

To prep Kacey’s hair, Giovanni applied UNITE Hair® 7SECONDS BlowOut Creme on the midshaft to ends for shine and moisture.

Next, Giovanni sprayed UNITE Hair BOOSTA Volumizing Spray at the roots to build mega volume before doing a classic blowout to set the foundation.

Once the foundation was established, Giovanni began to curl each section with a 1.5-inch curling iron. “[Curl] all in one direction for flawless waves; a touch of glamor from days gone by,” shared Giovanni.

Once the hair is curled, he applies UNITE Hair U Oil: “[It’s one of my favorites, on the ends, to tame any flyaways and frizz,” Giovanni said.

Finish the style by teasing all the roots, especially the crown, and brush the silhouette down.

For extra hold, set it with UNITE Hair MAXCONTROL Spray. “To prepare for windy Paris!” said Giovanni.

“The cherry on top was UNITE Hair 7SECONDS Glossing Spray all over for that long-lasting, glossy, high-shine finish,” he explained.
