A great way to add some interest to the blondie in your chair is by creating dimension with a seamless root smudge. But sometimes, that smudge isn’t always so seamless. FORMULA STEPS

1. Starting at her hairline and angling back, section the hair into four quadrants of vertical slices. Leave a ½-inch section in between each slice for dimension.

2. Apply Formula A in the front quadrants and Formula B in the back quadrants.

3. Tone with Formula C to break the base just enough to lighten her natural hair. Rinse and towel-dry.

4. Tone again with Formula D starting at the base and pulling it all the way through to the ends. Process for 10 minutes.
