Who is the ideal client for this technique?
“The ideal client for this technique is anyone with hair from just above shoulder length and down. Colour vibrancy and depth can vary as can the thickness and contrast of the lowlights/highlights,” explains Naomi. While this look is very versatile and can be adapted to most hair types, it is important to consider the integrity of the hair and the starting level. This may also take more than one sitting to achieve if the hair is of a very dark base to begin with.
What is the maintenance level for this look?
“The balayage will last from six to eight months. The roots will need to be retouched roughly every five to seven weeks. A toner is recommended to freshen the rest of the color every five to seven weeks also. For at home care, we recommend using the Joico Color Endure Shampoo and Conditioner,” suggests Naomi.
