Platinum Perfection: Rusted Brass to Cool Sass
That ombré is da bombré…for about two weeks until you realize that having your friend color your hair in her kitchen sink was probably the least bright idea you’ve had since eating Taco Bell before going to the amusement park. This particular client got a box color blonde that faded into a surprisingly well-blended shade of Grey Poupon, which unfortunately is not on-trend for 2015. For a color correction done right, she looked no further than Karl Brown of Axis Hair and Professional Haircare of Vancouver, Canada. He’s been a Wella Canada educator for 10 years, specializing in fixing those colors you thought you’d love but grew to hate. Here is how Karl turned these mustardy tresses into a platinum bombshell.

FORMULA STEPS
1. Apply Formula A to the regrowth, starting at the roots. Process until the exposed underlying pigment matches the color at the midlengths and ends.
2. Paint Formula B starting at the midlengths to the ends—beginning in the darker areas first and lighter areas last. Process away from heat until underlying pigment reaches a level 9.5/10. Make sure you checking the hair frequently to ensure the integrity of the strands is maintained.
3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
4. Apply Formula C roots to ends. Process for 15 minutes. Reapply Olaplex, roots to ends, for 10 minutes.
5. Shampoo, condition and blow-dry to completion.
