“The ideal candidate has an edgy personality or wants to branch out with a new trendy style without a ton of upkeep. Unlike a foiled money piece to the scalp, this technique creates a soft transition to the root and is actually pretty low-maintenance,” says Aspen.
What is the maintenance required for this look?
At-home care for this look consists of using PRAVANA The Perfect Blonde Purple Toning Shampoo, Conditioner and Masque. “If your client wants to enhance the pink or silver tones in the Pearl Series, you can recommend that they use the PRAVANA Color Enhancer in Pink or Silver. Salon maintenance requires a toner appointment after 5 weeks and a face frame retouch and toner every 3 to 4 months,” recommends Aspen.
How long does this technique take?
The timing of this process depends on your product selection and starting level. “My client was a starting Level 2 and took about 1.5 hours to lift to the desired Level 7/8 using PRAVANA Pure Light Ultra Lightener,” explains Aspen.
What does pricing look like for this technique?
Pricing for this look can vary depending on the size of the money piece. “This was more time consuming than a typical face frame because we added more hair from the ear forward for a chunkier look. I would typically charge for a partial and an overlay, costing $230 total,” shares Aspen.
