Want to get blonde refresh clients in and out of your chair in record time? One way to accomplish that is by skipping the toner. So below, we’re sharing how Sara Pestella (@saramay_level10), owner of Level 10 Salon in Destin, Fla., lifted her client to the perfect bright blonde shade WITHOUT toner and dry cut a soft blunt bob.

FORMULA STEPS

1. Start by dry cutting the entire head, then straighten each section and remove weight from sections 1 and 2 and behind the ears.

 

2. Then, point cut the ends to soften the overall finish of the blunt bob.

 

3. For the bright blonde haircolor, paint partial heavy highlights using Formula A, eventually working your way up to 20-volume developer. “I foiled some of her ends for an added pop,” notes Sara.

 

4. Let process until she reaches the desired level of blonde, then rinse and style as desired. “She did not need toning,” Sara mentioned. “Skylar’s skin tone can hold a bright blonde and I secretly love the challenge of lifting to the perfect shade of blonde.”
