Some clients are living for the rooty, lived-in look while others are ready to embrace their natural color again. When her client was over the maintenance of a shadow root, BTC Team Member Michelle Stevenson (@michellehair) created this neutral blonde balayage to help make the transition more seamless.   • Formula A (balayage):

    GKhair Miami Beach Bombshell Clay Lightening Powder + 40-volume developer

  • Formula B (lowlights/root toner):

    6N + Processing Solution

  • Formula C (midlengths/ends toner):

    9V + 9GI + 9P + Processing Solution

FORMULA STEPS

1. Balayage with Formula A.

 

2. For the warm areas, lowlight with Formula B and process at room temperature for 45 minutes.

 

3. At the bowl, tone the roots with Formula B and the midlengths and ends with Formula C.

 

4. Rinse, blow-dry and style as desired.
