That’s exactly what Charleston-based stylists Samantha Aylor (@samanthaaylor) and Kendall Phelps (@kendalldoeshair27) did when Samantha wanted to switch up her everyday blonde and play with pink—and we have everything you need to try this with a friend behind the chair. COLOR FORMULAS

  • Formula A (highlights)

    Davines Mask Hair Bleaching Powder + 20-volume developer

  • Formula B (toner)

    39g Davines A New Colour 12.21 + 6g 4.22 + a smear of 4.55 + 90g Activator 5-volume developer

FORMULA STEPS

  1. Apply Formula A and create highlights throughout, then process.
  2. Directly before rinsing the highlights, mix Formula B. 
  3. Rinse and apply Formula B to damp hair globally.
  4. Process for 25 minutes, then rinse.
  5. Blow-dry and style as desired!
