1. Start with desired Base formula, which is 1N in this case, and make sure that the area you want the fun colors to appear in is lifted to either a level 9 or 10, depending on what color is desired. Because the pink and purple are warmer and darker, they can be achieved on level 9. The lavender on the ends requires a level 10 because of how light it is. Candice loves using Pravana VIVIDS for her most colorful looks.
2. Apply Formula A, making sure to really saturate the colors so you don’t miss any spots.
3. Apply Formula B underneath the violet in the same way.
4. Go back in with the violet and blend it down into the pink section using a brush.
5. Apply Formula C to the ends. Blend the pink section into the lavendar end section using a brush.
6. Process for 20 minutes
7. It’s really important to use cold water when rinsing in order to decrease the amount of bleeding from the colors, especially because the lightest color in this case (lavender) is on the ends. Rinse until the water runs clear.
TIP: Always wash out the darker colors first, whenever possible. It’s almost impossible for them to to bleed at all, but that also helps give it that blending effect, so it works to your benefit!
8. Apply Pravana Clear over the whole head. It works as a conditioner and puts a coat over the colors so they may last longer.
9. Leave this for 5 minutes. Rinse. Blow-dry and done! Magical, mermaid hair!
