FORMULA STEPS

Step 1: Starting at the nape, work in diagonal back sections and perform the AirTouch™ technique using Formula A until you reach the occipital bone. (Don’t know what AirTouch™ is? Click here!)

Step 2: Once you reach the occipital bone, move to the face frame. Foil along the hairline using Formula A still.

Pro Tip: The amount of foils in your face frame will vary depending on how bright your client wants their money piece.

Step 3: Place two diagonal back foils on the middle part using the AirTouch™ technique, continuing to work with Formula A.

Step 4: Work through the side of the head using diagonal back sections and the AirTouch™ technique with Formula A until you reach the top crown.

Pro Tip: For a seamless transition, “Use your hands to paint the hair and be sure to diffuse really well near the root,” recommends Mickey. For more info on Mickey’s hand touch balayage, click here!

Step 5: Connect the top crown back with a Mohawk section of highlights down the middle of the head using the AirTouch™ technique and Formula A. Process until the hair reaches a Level 9.

Step 6: Rinse, shampoo and towel-dry. Then, tone the roots using Formula B and tone the ends using Formula C.

Step 7: Rinse again, condition and style as desired.
