Red Hair With Flare!

This natural dark blonde client experimented with red color in the past…and loves it! So she has requested a bold red hue that’s vivid and shiny. The artists at Clairol Professional reached for 6RR/Blaze from the new Flare Collection of Clairol Permanent Crème Color to get the job done.

First Time Coloring
1. Section hair into four sections by splitting it down the middle and then splitting from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear. Secure each section with a clip.

2. Release the clip from one of the back sections. Apply Flare 6RR + 20-volume developer, starting ½-inch away from the scalp to the lengths and ends. Repeat this application on the other three sections. Process for 15 minutes. 

3. Starting at the same section in the back, Apply the same formula to the roots. Continue this application on the other three sections. Process for 30 minutes, then shampoo thoroughly.

Root Touch Up and Color Refresh
1. Section hair into four sections by splitting it down the middle and then splitting from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear. Secure each section with a clip.

2. Release the clip from one of the front sections. Apply the 6RR + 20-volume developer to the root area on the entire section by taking ¼ inch sections. Repeat this application on the other three sections. Process for 30 minutes.

3. Starting at the same section in the front, apply the color, with desired developer strength, to the lengths and ends. Repeat on the other 3 sections. Process for 15 minutes. Shampoo thoroughly.
