Perfect Your Platinum: 3 Tips

1. When going full-on platinum, Zach prefers to use balayage around the face—he spends the most time here since it’s the most important part. Another reason to start at the front? It’s far easier to remove foils from the front and rinse if needed.

2. “Low and slow” is Zach’s key to perfect blondes. He uses Schwarzkopf Professional BLONDME Premium Lift 9+ with bond-enforcing technology built in for protection, and he never goes over 20-volume. A higher developer will cause the hair to lighten too fast, too unpredictably and will give uneven results.
