Men’s Cutting: Swept-Back Texture
Do the men in your chair want a cool cut that’s easygoing and modern? Of course they do! And this swept-back, textured cut and style by Redken Artist MJ Deziel (@mjdeziel) offers a layered look, matte finish and it’s perfect on all face shapes. Plus, she uses the new men’s grooming line, Redken Brews, to make the look come together. Check out the steps and watch the video below!
Here’s a closer look at the steps:
- Prep with Redken Brews Extra Clean Shampoo.
- Then, starting at the crown, gather a 1- to 2-inch horizontal section and, holding the hair at a 90-degree angle, cut it with a razor.
- Continue with the same section sizes and cut the entire top and side sections using a 90-degree angle.
- Then, from the back of the ears, direct the entire back section to the neckline and finish with the perimeter.
- To style, blow-dry the hair back, then apply Redken Outplay Texture Pomade to your fingers and twist into the hair for all-over texture.
