1. Red carpet blowouts
If there’s one look that took over this year’s Grammy Awards, it’s the ever-trendy blowout. Celebs served some serious hair envy rooted in every era, from ’70s Barbie-core to ’90s nostalgia. Be prepared for clients to start rolling in with requests for bouncy curls, supermodel-volume and these inspo pics:

The retro shag is BACK. Follow artist Cesar DeLeon Ramirez (@cesar4styles)’s steps to recreate Bebe Rexha’s Farrah Fawcett-inspired blowout using UNITE Hair:
- Start by applying heat-activated UNITE BLOW&SET Lotion to lift, hold and sculpt any hair style or texture while providing UV and thermal protection.
- Dry and smooth each section with a small ceramic round brush.
- Once the hair is dry, spray UNITE TEXTURIZA Texturizing Spray to the roots for extra volume and grip.
- Using a 1.5-inch Marcel iron, curl and overdirect each section forward. Clip and allow to set.
- Brush each section out, then spray with UNITE Lé:Play Hairspray for a bouncy, satin finish.

2. Full fringe
The Grammys had a major bangs moment: Taylor Swift, Shania Twain and Camila Cabello…These are the celebs who will be at the forefront of your clients’ new fringe requests. When your client hands you a red carpet inspo pic, ask WHAT they like about the photo—that and their hair density, length and face shape will determine a personalized fringe.

Complement your client’s Birkin Bangs with effortless texture by Camila’s stylist Dimitris Giannetos (@dimitrishair) using Dyson:
- Start by drying with a Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer Professional Edition to protect the hair from static.
- Add tape-in extensions in three different shades in order to create dimension and contrast. Dimitris used Great Lengths Natural 03, Ombré 1B with Level 5 ends and Ombré 5 with Level 8 ends. Pro tip: Razor the extensions for the perfect blend.
- Bend the hair with the cordless Dyson Corrale™ Straightener to create texture. Dimitris also sprayed every section with L’Oréal Professionnel EverPure 21-in-1 Color Caring Spray for extra hold.
- Finish with unscented L’Oréal Professionnel Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Light Hairspray—Dimitris’ favorite—for a red carpet-ready look that will last all day long.

3. Sleek, straight styles
Waves and curls may have earned a few camera clicks on the way down the red carpet, but the real showstopper this year was pin straight styles. The icons: Paris Hilton, Kim Petras and more. Here’s some of our favorite looks:

4. ’90s-inspired waves
From Beyoncé‘s iconic ‘Renaissance’-style look to Lizzo‘s glossy waves, curls made a statement at this year’s Grammys. Here’s the line-up:
Here’s how Shelby Swain (@theshelbyswain) created Lizzo’s fierce look using Sebastian Professional:
- Prep the hair with Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Lightweight Shampoo, Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Lightweight Conditioner and Sebastian Professional Dark Oil. This cocktail creates plenty of movement while maintaining shine.
- Apply Sebastian Professional Mousse Forte, then use a straightener to create a free-flowing shape. After straightening, use a wand curler of choice to add definition.
- Complete the look with Sebastian Professional Shaper Hairspray for a moldable finish. Shelby also added a touch of Sebastian Professional Shaper Plus Extra Hold Hairspray for extra hold and humidity protection.
Beyoncé stole the show in more ways than one: Making Grammys history with the most awards won by a single artist to date and these gorgeous honey blonde wet waves:

5. Classy updos
The Grammy’s have proved again that doing hair is back in style. Beachy, effortless waves may always have an in, but sleek updos may very well have the upper hand after this year’s celeb looks:

Recreate Giovanni Delgado (@giovannidelgado)’s modern face-framing updo for Kacey Musgraves. Just follow these steps:
- Lightly mist UNITE Hair 7SECONDS Detangler from midshaft to ends, then brush through. Follow with UNITE Hair 7SECONDS Blowout Crème from roots to ends to give the hair shine, softness, manageability and thermal protection.
- Using a dryer and round brush, section the hair and blow-dry from roots to ends.
- Add subtle movement using a curling wand of choice.
- Pull the hair into a mid or low ponytail and apply UNITE Hair U Oil for optimal shine. Then, twist and pin for a strong hold. Giovanni’s advice: Don’t think too much about it and let the twists happen organically.
- Finish with a bit of UNITE Hair 3-in-1 Adjustable Strength GO365 Hairspray for lasting hold.
