Tennessee-based bridal stylist Christi Piontkowski (@knoxvillebridalhair) explains that sometimes a consultation can get lost in translation, especially if the bride brings in a inspo pic that doesn’t match their hair type. “As stylists, we tend to speak a different language than clients,” she explains. To make sure there is no confusion, Christi always asks the same two questions: “What do you like about this style?” and “What would you change about this style?” This way, she adds, when they come in for their wedding-day appointment there is no grey area.
