What better place than London—home to some of the industry’s most iconic hairdressers—to celebrate Wella Professionals and Coty Professional Beauty at the International TrendVision Awards? 82 hairdressers from around the globe, representing the best from their countries, came together in London—now, see who took home the Color Vision, Creative Vision and People’s Choice awards!

The contestants, all winners of national TrendVision competitions, had up to three hours to present their models on the live competition stage, including styling and finishing, makeup and wardrobe. See the finalists here! Keep scrolling to see the winners!

The show started strong with the über cool (and VERY London) presentation, British By Design, with styles by leading London salons: Marc Antoni, Sanrizz, HOB Academy, D&J Ambrose and Robert Eaton.

Next, “Mother of Modern Haircolor” Annie Humphreys received the well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award. “I’m very proud that I’m a colorist and I helped bring color to where it is today—right in the forefront!” Annie said. “It’s been an amazing journey with lots of help. I would like to say thank you to all those people who helped me on that journey, all the colorists around the world.”

In a twist on a traditional presentation, the Sassoon Academy sent models down the runway, then created a “Sassoon Experience” by bringing each model back out and sharing each color formula. Inspiration AND education!

The future looks fluid and free, according to the Trend Reveal 2018 presentation. Think haircolor that’s slightly desaturated and cuts that look cool on anyone, regardless of gender identity. Even the name—Nontouring— suggests an effortless luxury (think the opposite of the makeup contouring craze that haircolorists have adopted).
