5 Inspirational Mantras That Will Take Your Business To The Next Level
Everyone loves a good motivational speaker, right? Of course! And at the 2017 Millennium Software International Millennium Experience, more than 400 salon owners and managers received incredible advice from not one, but five inspirational icons. Plus, they heard about Millennium’s upcoming launch, Meevo 2.0. Here are five of the biggest takeaways that’ll help take your business to the next level.
1. Greatness Is Contagious
Martino Cartier, celebrity stylist and founder of Friends Are By Your Side, emceed all weekend long, and between introducing every segment, he dropped some major self-inspiration. “Greatness is contagious and if you’re around it, you’ll catch it,” he said. And by the end of the event, everyone was feeling it.
2. Dreams Need Action
Before every general session, Mark Bustos took the stage to share stories from his #BeAwesomeToSomebody movement. In addition to telling attendees what it’s like giving haircuts to the homeless across the world, what he really wanted everyone to know is that dreams need action. You need to have the courage, commitment, consistency and compassion to fulfil your dreams—because they won’t just happen on their own.
3. Positive Vibes Only
Co-Owner and Dean of Paul Mitchell the School Winn Claybaugh was one of the featured speakers, and rightfully so. Two of our favorite tips from him? Surround yourself with the right people in all aspects of your life and always think positive. When you hang around negative people, it’s only a matter of time until you start being negative yourself, and negativity has no place in the salon.
4. No Excuses
Entrepreneur, athlete and motivational speaker Kyle Maynard surprised attendees by closing out the weekend and delivering all the feels in the process. Born with Congenital Amputation, a rare condition that left him with arms that end at the elbows and legs that end near his knees, Kyle could have had all the excuses in the world to not succeed. Instead, he made a decision to never let anything get in the way of living his life and pursuing his dreams. He’s an award-winning mixed martial arts athlete and has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Aconcagua without the aid of prosthetics. He asked attendees to think deeply about what they really want in life and to go after it with his ‘no excuses’ mentality.
5. Keep Dreaming
Millennium Software International Founder and CEO John Harms is the mind behind the software, but he’s also the face of the brand. His advice to stylists, managers and owners? Keep dreaming! He never imagined Millennium to be where it is today, and now, the company is about to launch Meevo 2.0 and make the lives of owners and managers easier than ever. A dream he has been working on for years, he said.
