3-Step Transformation: From Pixie To Long & Lived-In

When you’re given the opportunity to master your craft and style alongside the industry’s top hairdressers, you just say yes! That was the case for 15 stylists who flew to NYC from all over the country for a week of Moroccanoil®️ education, styling backstage at New York Fashion Week and a photo shoot with Behindthechair.com, art directed by BTC Founder and Creative Director Mary Rector-Gable!

The stylists spent the day working with Moroccanoil®️ artists Kevin Hughes (@hairbyeleven), Robert Ham (@roberthamstylist) and Antonio Corral Calero (@antonioccalero) to create 17 on-trend “Instagram” looks for eight different models. Under Mary’s art direction, BTC was there to make the magic happen—from the creative vision and model casting to styling the wardrobe, makeup and final production!

Look 1: Highly-Textured Pixie

Get The Steps
1. Apply a generous amount of Moroccanoil®️ Volumizing Mousse. Then, blow-dry using a small round brush.

2. Apply Moroccanoil®️ Dry Texture Spray all over and use a small-barrel curling iron to style the hair.

3. Then, slick back the sides using Moroccanoil®️ Texture Clay.

Look 2: Grunge Glam

Get The Steps
1. Apply extensions with heat-activated glue for temporary styles and easy removal. 

2. Gently apply heat using a hair dryer to secure the extensions. Then, create volume with Volumizing Mousse and rockstar texture using Texture Clay.

3. Finish the look with Moroccanoil®️ Luminous Hairspray to create brightness that will shine through.
