Ted Gibson & Jason Backe Announce Grant Initiative To Entrepreneurs
Ted Gibson & Jason Backe Launch The Worth-Up Alliance With Beauty Changes Lives
November is National Entrepreneurship Month and salon owners Ted Gibson (@tedgibson) and Jason Backe (@jasonbacke) are celebrating by launching the Worth-Up Alliance with Beauty Changes Lives to support beauty’s small business owners.
The Worth-Up Alliance is a movement designed to help salon owners, hairstylists, barbers, estheticians, nail professionals and makeup artists with start-up capital grants, education, business coaching, mentoring and networking through the Beauty Changes Lives nonprofit. Grant recipients will pitch their small businesses to a panel of beauty professionals, with the first round of grants being awarded in quarter three of 2021.
The alliance was inspired by Ted and Jason’s entrepreneurship journey building a successful business that includes salon ownership, a network television series, product line and spokesperson roles. When the global pandemic struck in early 2020, they both saw how the lockdowns affected beauty professionals across the nation. In response, Ted and Jason have committed to giving back to beauty entrepreneurs. Through the power of community, Worth-Up Alliance is identifying, investing in, nurturing and inspiring emerging entrepreneurs.
