Sport Clips Helps Veterans Fulfill Dreams of Flying
Sport Clips Haircuts has announced its primary sponsorship of Ageless Aviation DreamsFoundation (AADF), which funds flight experiences for veterans living in long-term care communities. In its second year of supporting AADF, Sport Clips will help make 520 flights possible in cities across the U.S. this year—up from last year’s 436 flights in a restored 1940’s Boeing Stearman bi-plane. The first flight of the season will take place in Kissimmee, Fla. on March 13.
Through AADF, a non-profit dedicated to honoring seniors and U.S. military veterans with the mission to “Give Back To Those Who Have Given,” veterans will be able to experience the thrill of boarding a plane that was used to train military aviators in the late ‘30’s and early ‘40’s.
“Making these flights possible is just one more way Sport Clips can say ‘thank you’ to those who have served our country,” says Gordon Logan, founder and CEO of Sport Clips and Air Force veteran. “This is a vestige of their military service, and to see the memories flooding back when they climb into the passenger seat is priceless.”
AADF “Dream Flights” are made possible through sponsorships, such as Sport Clips’, the nation’s leading men’s and boys’ hair care provider with more than 1,300 locations across the U.S.
