Schwarzkopf Professional Announces New Color Director

Schwarzkopf Professional has named master color artist Rossa Jurenas as the Schwarzkopf Professional’s North American Color Director.  Rossa will oversee the collaboration of education, sales and marketing for the company’s color division.

 

In her new role, Rossa will lead the overall conceptual and educational development of the company’s color vision and work closely with the education team to develop concepts and curriculum to support corporate initiatives. In collaboration with U.S. Director of Education, Linda Gilbride, the Canadian National Education Manger, Susan Boccia and North American Creative Director, Damien Carney, Rossa will aid in the development of technical education concepts and standards as it relates to Schwarzkopf Professional’s color direction.

 

She will also mentor the development of North American Brand Ambassadors, PR Ambassadors, Artistic Teams, along with the ASK Expert national education team, in emphasizing and educating on the company’s corporate vision of color. Her passion, creativity, and enthusiasm for hair are undeniable. Having trained with and learned from some of the industry’s most highly respected innovators, Rossa provides quality and inspiration in all she does.

 

As one of the original members of the Schwarzkopf Professional Essential Looks Artistic Team, Rossa is no stranger to the hair industry nor to the Schwarzkopf Professional brand. She comments, “I have been a part of the Schwarzkopf Professional family for many years—the Canadian team for 15 years—and am completely thrilled to be taking on this position.” She adds that “Schwarzkopf Professional has been in my blood for years, it is my passion and my belief. After many years of dedication and drive, I am honored and excited about this new journey as North American Color Director.”

 

Due to her noteworthy body of work with over 16 years in the industry, Rossa picked up the title of 2015 Master Colorist of the Year at the Contessa Awards, and was named the2014 Canadian Colorist of the Year this past fall. Having trained with such names as Vidal Sassoon and Vivienne Mackinder, her work has been featured across numerous media outlets, including CityLine, Breakfast Television, Canada AM, Flare, Elle, Wedding Bells, Reader’s Digest, Salon Magazine and Canadian Hairdresser, placing her as an industry leading hairstylist, makeup artist, and educator.

 

Rossa now embarks on a new journey with Schwarzkopf Professional and for her first year in this position, “I hope to bring Schwarzkopf Professional into the forefront of the hair industry with our color.” She is ready to be a part of an enthusiastic team where everyone is extremely passionate and excited about what they represent. She adds “it is a great feeling to be a part of a team where everyone has drive and passion to bring themselves, and the company, to the next level!” She hopes to showcase to industry that this is the color line of choice, as she wants to prove that “we can create and customize high fashion colors—ones that are desired by hairdressers”. I want to prove that we are on the cutting edge of designing innovative products; with myself detailing and designing new techniques to elevate all the color brands that Schwarzkopf Professional has to offer.”
