“Learn The Curl” Brings Texture Education Into The Spotlight

Get your curl on with Oligo Professionnel‘s Learn the Curl campaign. Inspired by curl experts Martina Nicholas (@4allcurlkind) and TK Prentice-Cupid (@tkloveshair), this all-new, complimentary education system is dedicated to motivating industry professionals to continue learning and educating on different curl and texture types.

“Learn the Curl” encourages stylists to learn and expand their service offerings & knowledge

In response to the lack of curl and texture education in the professional hair industry, Oligo Professionnel hopes to use this campaign to:

  1. Educate stylists on the basics of curl types.
  2. Encourage stylists to learn and expand their clientele.
  3. Motivate discussions and education around inclusivity of different hair textures

Understanding different types of curl and texture has a massive impact for clients both in and out of the salon:

Move beyond common misconceptions with color and styling tutorials

The Oligo-sponsored artists involved in the campaign created seven color-and-style tutorials for guests with curl types between 2c and 4c, each with a unique step-by-step method based on factors like hair porosity, type and structure. These educators show how the right methods and products (and a little finesse) will have curly clients leaving the salon feeling confident with their new cuts, colors and styles.

So, what’s their secret? It’s about truly understanding their canvas.

A common myth is that curly and textured hair can’t be lightened without damage. “Learn the Curl” courses debunk this misconception.
