NovaLash Announces its 2019 Lash Artist of the Year

The LashOff Gala in Houston not only names the Lash Artist of the Year out of four talented finalists—it’s also a celebration for NovaLash artists who work with the most awarded and safest lash extension brand in the world. Top lash stylists and salons come from across the globe for education and training to help develop their business—and then, we party!
The Competition
Four finalists were chosen out of many applicants after submitting a video of their NovaLash technique and before-and-after images to a panel of judges including NovaLash President and CEO Sophy Merszei, NovaLash VP of Global Education Sophia Navarro and BTC Editorial Director Lauren Rees.
The finalists this year were:
- Nikki Melillo, @nikkimelilloooo, West Palm Beach, Fla.
- Marte Fjeldberg, @martefjeldberg, Trondheim, Norway (and 2018 LashOff winner!)
- Raylene Cravens, @okclashtrainer, Nichols Hill, Okla.
- Jessica Gadzalinski, @jsxartistry, Green Bay, Wisc.
And the winners are…
As the 2019 Lash Artist of the Year, Raylene will receive over $25,000 in cash, prizes, advertising, marketing and travel with NovaLash! “Don’t give up, that’s my message,” Raylene said. “It is hard, and you’ll really want to throw your tweezers in the beginning. But don’t give up, and believe in yourself—because this company will believe in you.”
Besides the overall Lash Artist of the Year, NovaLash celebrates its artists with three more award. They are:
Fan’s Choice of the Year: Jessica Gadzalinski
Classic Winner: Nikki Melillo
Volume Winner: Marte Fjeldberg
