New Distribution Company, Win Beauty Solutions Taps Scott Missad As CEO
Scott Missad Joins Win Beauty Solutions As CEO And Acquires Life of Riley Salon Supply
The newly formed Win Beauty Solutions joins the professional beauty industry’s product distribution arena and quickly gains momentum with its newest hire and acquisition. Beauty industry veteran, Scott Missad, has been tapped as CEO of Win Beauty Solutions and the company makes its first acquisition with Florida-based Life of Riley Salon Supply.
According to the company, Win Beauty Solutions’ mission is to help beauty professionals achieve the highest levels of success through top products, local support and salon-tested business systems. Scott has four decades of working with brands like Redken, Aquage, RUSK, and more, as well as co-founding suncare brand Sun Bum—all of which will help guide the formation of the company and its future acquisitions.
“I am incredibly enthusiastic about returning to my roots of serving the hairdressing community,” says Scott. “Win Beauty will combine the resources and sophistication of the large national distribution companies with the personal touch of the local independent distributors who know their customers personally and are dedicated to supporting their success.”
With the Life of Riley acquisition comes a decade-long history in the salon distribution space, a presence in 14 states plus Puerto Rico, 36 salon consultants and 17 sub distributor store locations—all of which Win plans to maintain. Win has also named Life of Riley’s president and co-founder, Kelly Huether, as Vice President of Distribution Development at Win Beauty Solutions.
“Over the years, Bob Larson, my lifelong friend and business partner at Life of Riley Salon Supply, and I have been approached by many groups that wanted to buy Life of Riley, but inevitably, all of them wanted to abandon our name, our heritage and possibly even some of our employees who helped build the company,” says Kelly of the buyout. “Win Beauty Solutions was quite the opposite. They embraced our name, our heritage and, most importantly, the employees and customers who helped build this business. Not only will our employees keep their jobs, but they are motivated to add fuel to the fire and help Life of Riley grow and expand into more states.”
This acquisition also means Kelly will join Scott in their second role together as the duo helped form the Beauty Alliance network. “I am excited to work with Scott again and know that we can provide the most attractive and viable option for Professional Beauty Businesses that are seeking options when they want to retire, exit or grow their distributorships,” says Kelly.
