How KEVIN.MURPHY Is Supporting Hairstylists
KEVIN.MURPHY has launched the Always By Your Side initiative to help support the hairdressing community during the COVID-19 crisis. The initiative features a three-part support strategy for the brands stylists and salon partners. Here’s what you need to know…
Phase One: Digital Resources + Education
Since salon shutdowns first occurred, the Always By Your Side initiative has provided ongoing digital strategies and resources for stylists and salon owners. The brand will continue to share a range of digital tools for continued education and growth until hairdressers find themselves back behind the chair including:
- The KM.TV digital education series on the brand’s Facebook.
- Social media resources and downloadable graphics to help stylists communicate with clients.
- The Conversations with Kevin podcast addressing COVID-19 challenges and business advice for the salon community.
Phase Two: Back-To-Work Salon Reopening Guidelines
KEVIN.MURPHY is releasing comprehensive guidelines to help salons and stylists navigate reopening. The resources will include:
- All considerations for a successful reopening including social media announcements.
- A back-to-work plan with advice on booking procedures.
- Guidance for social distancing that will give clients and stylists the assurance they need.
- To further encourage safe practices in the salon, KEVIN.MURPHY will also be offering face shields.
Phase Three: Business + Sales Support
The final phase of the initiative is specially crafted to support sales during the return to normalcy. It includes:
- A reopening resource guide which features business-building tips and strategies to re-engage clientele.
- KM.TV will host content to help plan for the return of clients.
- Downloadable resources and social media graphics to help communicate reopening policies and other important information.
- Ongoing podcast content focused on safety measures and a successful return to the salon.
“Hairdressing is all about our clients and communication,” said Brand Founder Kevin Murphy. “We have all changed during this time. Your client has changed and the landscape has changed. Change is constant and we are here to help you with this. Now is the right time to start planning to reopen and welcome clients back, which is why we’re happy to have launched these resources in ‘Always By Your Side.’”
KEVIN.MURPHY has also produced a limited run of 20,000 hand sanitizers, in addition to donating their unused fabric for the creation of face masks.
