Farouk Systems Hosts Third Annula Educational Symposium

This past October, Farouk Systems hosted its third annual Educational Symposium in Houston. The sold-out event was hosted by CHI USA and Lone Star College, welcoming more than 200 cosmetology instructors from across the U.S. During this three-day symposium, instructors attended hands-on workshops which offered valuable and engaging insight into the latest industry techniques—as well as new product technology. As a special highlight, guest artist Rocky Vitelli recreated a live photo shoot onstage along with Farouk Systems’ Global Artists conducting a VIP hair show—both live demos providing yet another opportunity to expand their educational experiences.

In addition to education, instructors were given a tour of the Farouk Systems facilities and a special invite to be the guests of honor for a dinner hosted by Farouk Shami. During this time, Farouk offered a personal invitation for each attendee to become an educator for Farouk Systems. Ending the evening, Farouk expressed his appreciation by giving each instructor gift bags and awards in appreciation for their artistic talents, hard work and ability to inspire others. Farouk also awarded CHI Lone Star Cosmetology the CHI Partnered School of the Year.

Before the close of the three-day symposium, a special commemorative time capsule ceremony, “A History in the Making,” was held in Farouk’s honor. Guests and attendees participated in a burial of tokens that expressed and reflected Farouk’s life accomplishments over the span of the last 30 years. Items included and added to the capsule were his original patents, biography, photos and much more.

The CHI Partner Schools will continue to offer ongoing opportunities to bring on new instructors and help to give back to CHI Partner Schools and programs. This further sets the precedent for Farouk Systems’ unsurpassed commitment to education and motivating instructors and artists alike.
