Cosmo Prof’s Textured Hair Educational Summit Returns

The demand for textured hair education has been sweeping cosmo schools and salons across the country. There’s still a long way to go to give stylists and clients alike the knowledge they need to properly care for textured hair, butwith many states, businesses and educational platforms making strides to deliver—every step counts.


Leading the charge is none other than Cosmo Prof with its virtual World of Texture educational summit, returning for its third consecutive year on Feb. 27, 2023. Tickets are $29 per attendee.

What is World of Texture?

World of Texture gives hair a voice, advocating for textured haircare through interactive courses, conversation and community. The mission: To teach and empower.


“We are honored to help by providing stylists with meaningful education,” says April Holt, Group Vice President of Stores for Beauty Systems Group. “This year’s event is forecasted to be our highest attendance and we are so moved by the opportunity to arm stylists with education and resources to better serve their clients and to help them navigate their businesses effectively.”


The summit is set to be Cosmo Prof’s most attended event to date.

What can attendees expect?

This year, World of Texture will focus on Type 4 hairwhere the gap in education seems to be the largest. Stylists will learn how to cut, color and style Type 4 hair from the industry’s top brands and leaders, along with business management and promotion tips. There will even be opportunities to continue education in various states.


To bring it all to life, Cosmo Prof is partnering industry-leading brands like Wella Professionals, Rusk and DevaCurl with Black-owned brands The DouxNu Standard™, and Design Essentials®. Award-winning anchor, reporter and community-focused storyteller Tashara Parker (@tasharaparker) will also be returning as host.


Additionally, Cosmo Prof will be utilizing World of Texture to introduce more than 80 new products for textured hair, with more launches in coming months. “We know stylists are busy and need an efficient and easy way to shop textured haircare products online and in-store,” shares April. “To better serve professionals, we expanded our textured hair care selection in 700 stores.”

Why is World of Texture’s message so important?

Knowing and caring for the textured hair community is the fastest growing segment in beauty education. Why?
