NAHA 2020: See All Of The Winners Below!
The North American Hairstyling Awards are back at International Salon & Spa Expo in Long Beach, Calif. for the second year in their new home after moving venues in 2019. Hosted by Living Proof Global Creative Director Michael Shaun Corby and actor, TV host and comedian Bill Sindelar—this year’s highlights included the announcement of two new categories for next year: Educator of the Year and Salon Culture Award…and some beautiful artistic presentations!
Artistic presentations by amika, Aveda, Olivia Garden and Julie Vriesinga sent highly creative hair looks, along with some amazing visuals, down the runway—I mean, the Aveda models walked out in life-size bubbles (literally!). Then, entertainment reporter Amanda Salas, took the stage to share her moving story of how the hairdressing community has empowered her throughout her battle with cancer.
A few more highlights? Silas Tsang took home another NAHA award, this time for Hairstylist of the Year, and we loved seeing Michelle O’Connor accept the Styling & Finishing Award. The evening left us feeling inspired, celebratory and honored to be a part of such an amazing industry.
