BREAKING NEWS: 2019 Coty Beauty Envision Awards Winners Announced!
The FIRST EVER 2019 Coty North American Beauty Envision Awards took place at The Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles where some of the beauty industry’s biggest stars helped shine a light on the industry’s brightest talent. BTC had a front-row seat for the incredible awards ceremony, so keep reading for all the winning artists.
North American Beauty Envision Awards
Presented by The Wella Professionals TrendVision Awards, the Beauty Envision Awards aims to showcase and recognize talent in all categories of beauty including new categories for nail art, men’s hair and total transformation. More than 5,000 beauty professionals from the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico entered the competition, but only 30 competitors advanced to the finalist round to compete live on stage in Hollywood. Winners of all 10 categories receive a cash prize, a $1,000 Wella Studio Voucher and a year of free digital education from Coty Beauty. In addition, the Trendvision Color Artist of the Year category not only had two winners–one from the U.S. and one from Canada–but these winners will also travel to The 2020 ITVA Creative Retreat in Spain.
It wasn’t an easy task for the judges, who included:

- Shay Dempsey, Sebastian Professional Global Art Director
- Stephen Moody, Wella North America Education Direct
- Ryan Weeden, Wella Global Ambassador
- Whitney Burkhart, Pennsylvania-based bridal stylist and BTC Team Member
- Kim Bruce, salon owner and blonde specialist
- Mark Bustos, humanitarian and educator

Men’s Hair Category:
Hair that demonstrates undefined masculinity and is created by innovative men’s grooming techniques.

Total Transformation Category:
Side-by-side transformations for everyday clients, focus on wearability, color, cut and style.
Winner: Danny Lozada, @dannylozadahair
Bridal Hair Category:
Elegant upstyles that accentuate an artist’s creativity, innovation and expertise in finishing.
Winner: Shakhnoza Azimova, @shakhnozabeauty
Nail Art Category:
Entries should demonstrate artistic creativity and technique including application, sculpting and nail art.
Winner: Amy Hwang, @aymehnails
Future Star Category:
Cosmetology students had to submit a completed look that showcased their vision and determination while highlighting the fundamentals of hairdressing.

Elite Category:
An award celebrating a hairdresser’s creativity, talent and influence in the beauty industry.
Winner: José Quinones, @josequinonescarbonell
Salon Team Category:
A salon team is judged on creating four cohesive looks that illustrate versatility, diversity and creativity.
Winner: The Harlot Salon, @theharlotsalon, Los Angeles, Calif.
