BCL Announces New Leaders Added To Their Board Of Directors

As Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) celebrates it’s 10th anniversary of supporting beauty professionals, they are adding visionary leaders to their Board of Directors. The company is diversifying their board by bringing in experts within the categories of barbering, international spa and wellness, consumer retail and DEI education. David Raccuglia

David Raccuglia is a trained barber, salon owner, professional photographer, creative director and beauty industry executive. Aside from this, David is best known for being the Founder of American Crew®. His hands-on and creatively driven leadership in building the American Crew brand has led to over twenty-five years of success and growth.

Janet Williams

Janet Williams, Founder of Progressive Discoveries, LLC., is a strategic consultant who takes a culturally intelligent approach to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at work. Janet has grown deep roots in the beauty space, as she was the director of a prominent Cosmetology and Esthiology school in Washington, DC.

Janet is a Certified CQ & Unconscious Bias Facilitator through the Cultural Intelligence Center, serves as a member of the Cultural Intelligence Committee with the “Unite As One” Beauty Industry Think Tank and is a member of the Professional Beauty Industry Compensation Study Think Tank.

Megan Murray

Megan Murray, Senior Director, Field Operations at Ulta Beauty, has over thirteen years of executive career trajectory building and managing multi-million-dollar, enterprise-wide programs with significant impact on tactical expansion, national sales improvement, P&L management, recruiting and team engagement.

Michael G. Tompkins

A visionary leader in the luxury hospitality, healthcare, wellness and spa industries, Michael G. Tompkins has led teams to success for over twenty-five years. He has held CEO positions with Miraval Resorts, Hilton Head Health and PALM Health, was a Past Chairman of the International Spa Association (ISPA) and held executive positions with Canyon Ranch Health Resorts. He is a global keynote speaker with more than a dozen national and international engagements annually.

Currently, Michael is a partner with Hutchinson Consulting. They are at the forefront of developing innovative spa and wellness brands. The Hutchinson Consulting team has decades of experience in recruiting talent, as well as in launching, operating and marketing a variety of businesses, as a go-to place for hospitality consulting.

With the exciting new additions to the BCL board comes the reorganization of past members to new roles within the organization. Previous board members, Winn Claybaugh and Reuben Carranza, join CG Funk on the newly formed President’s Council. Steve Reiss and Mary Atherton take their new roles as Marketing Committee Cochairs.
