Aquage Debuts Sustainable Rebrand: See The New Packaging!
Aquage Unveils Sustainable Packaging & More Love For Salon Pros In Latest Rebrand
Since its launch in 1998, Aquage has been recognized for their ocean-empowered, sustainably-sourced formulas we know and love. Starting this November, the brand is reinstating their commitment to protecting our seas with a new image, increased emphasis on salon professionals and an eco-friendly design. Here’s what you can expect:
More earth-love with sustainable packaging
Aquage is introducing an entirely new look and make, debuting fresh packaging made from sustainable materials, including repurposed and recycled plastic removed from the ocean! The brand is also:
- continuing its partnership with PlasticBank—a social impact organization devoted to ending oceanic plastic pollution.
- actively pursuing its ongoing effort for a smaller carbon footprint.
- pledging that packaging will be made up of 100 percent recycled materials by 2023.
There’s more—every Aquage purchase will contribute to the brand’s annual commitment of preventing 50 tons (about 2.5 million plastic bottles) from entering the ocean. Talk about buying green!

Revamps of some of our favorite products
Inside these earth-friendly redesigns? The brand’s famous AlgaePlex® formula. This too-good-to-be-true haircare essential contains a proprietary blend of eight marine botanicals, including extracts found in algae, seaweeds and kelp. The result: nurtured, healed and strengthened strands.
(Be on the lookout for a new and improved Dry Shampoo and Blonde Care collection, too!)
Continued support of the professional community
Along with eco-friendly additions, Aquage is using this rebrand as a way to tighten the brand’s product portfolio and get back to the core of its high-performance products: to help professionals do what they do best.
“A key part of the performance is AlgaePlex, a resource we need to preserve and protect,” explains Chief Marketing Officer Mary Burns. “This mission is one of our driving focuses and a key part of our products’ formulas, so reducing our oceanic footprint was a seamless next step as we continue on this path towards sustainability.”
