Goldwell announced its new Global Ambassador, the globally-known editorial hairdresser Angelo Seminara (@seminaraangelo). In this role, Angelo will create limited edition collections and inspire innovation for Goldwell’s products and services.

Known for his avant-garde, award-winning style, Angelo’s passion for creativity has been showcased in Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Italian Vogue and other international publications. The four-time British Hairdresser of the Year will use his experience as both a working stylist and artistic director to help Goldwell evolve its products, services and inspiration.

Angelo’s first Goldwell collection, “Nocturnal,” gave him a taste of the Elumen color system. “I just fell in love with the whole system,” he said. “The whole system is really well thought… I would recommend to a salon to have a range that is easy to use, is so clear. It’s all really nicely programmed. [Goldwell is] there for the artist and for the hairdresser. The result is what counts. The color really delivers what it says.”

“What I’m excited about on the Goldwell side is how we continue to evolve the look we’ve been working on and take it even further,” said John Moroney Goldwell VP, Creative & Communication, Kao Salon Division. “Angelo’s unprecedented creative vision and dedication to pushing the boundaries of his craft will allow Goldwell to take our commitment to delivering the most revolutionary products and services to animate the imagination of every stylist to the next level.”

Besides working on new product innovation, Angelo will share his creative process with Goldwell artists and salons through digital education. “I have been working in a salon most of my life,” Angelo shared. “I love commercial stuff, really wearable hair. I love to complement the beauty of a woman—they have personality, they have inner beauty and outer beauty, and I want to make sure that works.” “Angelo says that it’s important to find the beauty of the woman for the perfect cut and perfect color, and that’s really what Goldwell is,” John added.

John also announced that the first Kao Salon Global Experience will be a virtual show. This year was meant to be the first for the newly evolved Goldwell Global Zoom competition and would include Kao Salon Division’s other brands, KMS and Oribe. Due to COVID-19, the brand will host the show as a web-based experience over two days with live and pre-recorded programming featuring artists and teams from around the world. More details on the Kao Salon Virtual Experience, Oct. 18-19, 2020, will be released soon.
