Neihule Academy of Beauty is seeking a Cosmetology Instructor who has a positive attitude, is motivated, energetic, and is versatile in his/her technical skills and has proven success in salon skills. 

Neihule Academy is a beauty school that offers Cosmetology, Manicuring, and Esthetic Programs.

Hours can be flexible upon discussion. 

Current Program Hours: Tuesday-Friday 5:30pm-10:00pm, Saturday 9am-5pm

Experience/Requirements

Cosmetology Instructor: 1 year (Recommended)

Applicants must possess Cosmetology License in the State of California for at least 3 years

Job Responsibilities: 

• Lesson-planning and teaching of classes on haircutting, color, texture, cosmetology theory, and/or professional development, and Neihule culture. Using Milady’s curriculum.

• Actively coaching and assisting students (future salon professionals) with clinic floor services to include technical assistance as well as coaching on salon success skills such as guest consultations, re-booking, and retailing.

• Modeling Neihule culture and positive professional habits for our future professionals.

• Present instructional materials and reinforcing instruction and follow-ups of understanding of specific concepts and techniques.

• Practical Hands on Teaching/timesheets/paperwork. As well as manage classroom teaching conditions and environment through active instructor presence in order to promote positive classroom participation and appropriate use of furniture and equipment.

• Provide regularly scheduled academic advising to students within the program

• Stay current with all regional and state code changes and industry standards as it applies to the program subject matter being taught

• Other duties as assigned

Also completing daily time records and completing other paperwork required by the Board of Cosmetology for California and BPPE

Qualifications: 

Applicants must possess Cosmetology License in the State of California for at least 3 years

Proven successful salon experience with strong results in building clientele, up-selling, rebooking, and retailing would be a major plus!

Passion for educating, learning, and helping others is an absolute must

Previous experience in teaching at a cosmetology school is a major plus
