Hair Specialist
New business, Coiffeuse, is located in Hoboken, NJ. We are urgently looking for qualified candidates with expertise in hair cutting, coloring and extensions. Cosmetologists who can work independently, are professional, & self-motivated. The perfect applicant should possess a clientele base that they can bring with them along with experience, charm, and the capacity to develop & maintain clientele. Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement daily hair care strategies to ensure clients receive the best possible results
Maintain a clean and organized salon environment
Greet clients in a warm welcoming manner when entering the salon. Explain what services are available or what products we are selling.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored
Perform scalp checks on all clients to ensure they are comfortable with the results of their services
Provide clients with information on how to maintain their look by using our products and maintaining their style.
Maintain a clean and organized salon environment at all times. Clean floors, sanitize shampoo bottles, etc.
Answer questions from clients about what they should be doing with their hair or how they should be using our products.
Follow up with clients after each service or treatment to ensure they were satisfied with their experience in our salon.

Requirements:
– Proven work in hair coloring, cutting and styling

Tape-ins
Traditional Sew-in Weave
Highlights, Single, Double, Balayage
Cuts & Trims
Knowledge of Healthy Haircare to promote hair growth

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Weekends

Supplemental pay types:
$18 an hour for applicants with no clientele base until they are confident to be on floor on commission
40% commission paid for each service on days exceeding hourly rate pay for first 60 days on the floor (Commission is negotiable for applicants bringing clientele)
Tips
Commission on products sold when a certain ratio is met.

Ability to commute/relocate:
Hoboken, NJ 07030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:
NJ Cosmetology License (Required)
